The APRA International Conference is taking place in Baltimore this week.  Unfortunately, I won’t be going to the conference this year, but I will be following along on Twitter. There will be an international prospect research panel discussion on Wednesday afternoon (1:30pm EST) and a session on researching prospects in the UK on Thursday (same time slot), both of which will be very interesting to follow, I’m sure.

If you’re on Twitter, the conference hashtage is #APRAProspect13. For those of you who are not on Twitter, please check back here on Wednesday. I will be posting a widget that lets you follow tweets from the conference. (If you want to be notified by email of that — and future — blog posts, please let me know.)

Meanwhile, the IFI office is humming this week. Here are the highlights:

The August newsletter just went out this morning. (Plans to send it out at the end of last week were scrapped when the IFI website/ email host crashed and burned on Friday.) If you aren’t on the IFI mailing list but would like a copy of the newsletter, please just enter your email in the box on the upper left-hand side of your screen, and I’ll send you one of your very own.

I am starting a new international prospect screening project today. This screening will cover several countries, including the Bahamas, China, Germany, Spain, and Turkey.

On a related note, you might be wondering, “What is the difference between a domestic prospect screening project and an international one?” Please come back Thursday for a blog post on that topic.

Work continues on in-depth prospect profiles for an independent school here in the US.

Finally, I am developing a podcast series about international fundraising. This project has been brewing for some time but is finally on my priority list. I expect to launch the series this fall. More soon.

What are you working on this week?
