Since 2011, I have provided prospect research services under the name International Fundraising Intelligence LLC (IFI). Through IFI, I offer international prospect research, prospect identification, and prospect screening services; and small-group training courses for professionals in the rapidly-expanding field of international fundraising research. I also wrote how-to guides for prospect researchers focused on China and India. Since founding IFI, the scope my work has expanded to include US-focused prospect research, grant writing for organizations in the United States, and consulting around not-for-profit organization operations and strategic planning.

My IFI clients include independent schools, colleges and universities, museums, hospitals, global NGOs, and other consulting firms located in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Australia. I have spoken at conferences and delivered professional development webinars for fundraising associations in the US, Canada, and South Africa. I also have delivered customized online training sessions for multi-national NGO teams.

Earlier in my career, I worked at Harvard University’s Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations, served as Director of Development Research at Amherst College, and contributed to fundraising efforts at Bennington College in various capacities, including as Manager of Research and Director of Advancement Operations.

I earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and have taken master’s degree courses in public policy and management through the Centre for Financial and Management Studies at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies. I completed the Foundation Center’s Online Proposal Writing Course.

In my volunteer life, I currently serve my local community as an elected official and a nonprofit board member. I am Chair of my town’s Select Board, to which I was re-elected for my second term in May 2016. Previously, I was Chair of the Hawlemont Regional School Committee. I also am Board President with the Charlemont Historical Society and previously was a board member with the Mary Lyon Foundation, a local education foundation, and Mohawk Trail Concerts, which organizes chamber music concerts in western Massachusetts.
